A better way to get better: You tell us!

About a year ago, we coined a new rallying cry at Indigo Urgent Care, A Better Way to Get Better.

We didn’t just make it up. We listened to patients, we culled over thousands of your reviews, and we hosted discussion groups to ask consumers and former patients a few important questions:

1.    How would you define an excellent urgent care experience?
2.    Tell us about a time when you didn’t feel like your urgent care experience was good.
3.    What are some of the things that a “better” urgent care should do?

While we were well on the way to providing a better urgent care experience, we took your comments to heart – and continue to listen to your feedback and challenge ourselves to “get better.”

Here are four ways we try to make every Indigo visit a better way to get better:

1.    Convenient, easy access, including online appointments

We put our Indigos next to grocery stores, drug stores or other places you might already visit (two doors down from Starbucks at our newest Spokane - Shadle location). We also give you options. If you want to schedule your urgent care visit around work or your kids’ activities, you can  schedule an appointment with just a few clicks. Or, if you prefer to walk in, that’s okay with us.

2.    Five-star service

About 80 percent of Inidigo patients give us a five-star rating. And that’s not good enough. Our goal is to always garner five stars – and we’re working hard to do just that.

3.    Modern amenities

Clean, modern furnishings. Light-filled waiting areas. Lots of places to plug in your phone or laptop. A setting that feels more like a coffee shop or hotel lobby than a medical clinic. We think (and your reviews support this) a better way to get better is to provide furnishings and surroundings that help you feel calmer, more relaxed.

4.    Staff and providers that focus on your needs, from the moment you walk in our doors

Whenever we can, we open the front doors to let you in. We attend to your comfort right away by offering you a beverage, an icepack if you’re injured, or a blanket if you’re running a fever. Our friendly staff is dedicated to caring for you – from the moment you step inside an Indigo to the moment you leave.

And, just to make sure you’re feeling better, we call you about 48 hours after your visit. We also follow up on every patient complaint – and do our best to learn from your honest input.

A Better Way to Get Better is more than a rallying cry. It’s part of our commitment to you – and to being a better kind of urgent care.

Now it’s your turn! What are your ideas for how we can make our Indigos an even better urgent care experience? Share in the comments below.
